We should have stopped trying by now. We should have thrown up our hands in despair and cried, "Enough." We should have relented by now, given up any hope that our lives would cease being punctuated by random violence. We should have stopped hoping for something different.
Yesterday, I watched the storm sashaying, pushing sky’s bright blues away. Air molecules charged with ions, plump with moisture, heavy with refreshing coolness. Excitement stormed descending. It was like more-life flew down from the heavens and earth absorbed a deep, refreshing gulp.
